For part B is it an elipse with the dimensions of 2D and D because of the equations Dcos(wt) and 2Dsin(wt)?

1. tutorpaul says:

We know it is an ellipse because $x_p = A \cos(\omega t)$, $y_p = B \sin(\omega t)$, and $A \neq B$. We know that it is taller than it is wide because $B > A$; specifically we know that it is twice as tall as it is wide because $B = 2A$.
